Aromatherapy
Natural essential oils are used in aromatherapy to promote physical and mental health. Aromatherapy can be used to enhance an individual’s natural healing process and to help prevent health problems.
Roman chamomile, geranium, lavender, lemon, peppermint, eucalyptus and rosemary are some common essential oils used in aromatherapy. It is thought that these oils, which are either inhaled or applied to the skin, might affect mood or emotions by sending chemical messages to the brain. In fact, some studies indicate the essential oils used in aromatherapy have antibacterial, calming or energizing effects.
