JMT

JMT, or the Jaffe-Mellor Technique, combines kinesiology, acupuncture and acupressure to provide support for a variety of conditions. It also incorporates muscle testing, desensitization, deactivation and intervention, according to its founders’ Web site. The therapy helps with arthritic conditions, digestive disorders and autoimmune concerns, as well as several other health problems, including neurological syndromes and skin conditions.

One of its founders, Carolyn Jaffe, is a doctor of acupuncture and has a certification in enzyme therapy. Judy Mellor, after which the technique also is named, is a registered nurse and certified herbalist. Jaffe and Mellor have backgrounds in homeopathy, naturopathy, electrodermal testing, nutrition and enzyme therapy.
