Merid
A device used to provide therapy for the body’s organ systems, the Merid uses infrared light to assess and balance patients’ bioenergetic fields. Infrared light analysis is conducted at 24 meridian end points on the hands and feet, and therapy usually takes five to 15 minutes. In therapy, practitioners place a probe over the 24 meridian points, emitting infrared light at each. A pain sensation felt by the patient at the points indicates to the practitioner that it’s time to move on to the next meridian. Through this process, the manufacturer claims the Merid balances the right and left branches of the meridians, which are human electrical channels through which energy flows.
