NeuroModulation Technique

NMT, which stands for NeuroModulation Technique, combines many methods of traditional Chinese medicine with modern approaches in bioenergetic medicine. Based on principles of neurophysiology, the method is intended for several illnesses and claims to help restore the body’s natural ability to heal itself. In particular, NMT provides therapy for allergy symptoms by correcting the body’s erroneous responses to certain environmental or food-based substances. The technique also seeks to help the body eliminate toxins, such as heavy metals, that can lead to illness.

Therapy in NMT first involves muscle response testing, or MRT, which is used as a means of communicating with the body’s autonomic system, responsible for controlling unconscious function. The MRT approach helps practitioners evaluate deficiencies in the autonomic control system that might be leading to patient illness. With this information, practitioners use the NMT protocol to find control system errors and restore normal function. The practice also claims to eliminate pernicious synaptic patterning, which is described as flawed recordings of data in the nervous system that adversely affect information processing in the brain.

The modality involves the use of patterned breathing techniques and the Arthrostim device, which employs a series of gentle taps on the spine to stimulate vertebra. Although the methods practitioners use to reprogram the autonomic control system are comparable, the practice is unique to the individual needs of each patient. According to nmt.md, patients oftentimes experience almost immediate results, and conditions previously described as “difficult” can show improvement in six to 12 sessions.
